Transform your website
Although we design a lot of websites for people just starting out, it seems that lots of our recent web-based projects are extreme makeovers! From very basic one pages sites that a friend of a friend designed to sites that don’t seem to get people the visibility or rankings that they need, we are finding more and more businesses are now turning to us for a lick of paint and a refurbishment of their existing website. We reassess the original brief for the site, study its performance and ask if it is still the right site for the customer’s target market. Then we get all Fairy Godmother with our magic design wand and endeavour to turn every pumpkin into something beautiful (luckily for our clients their fab new websites don’t change back at midnight!).
Our makeovers are always tremendously rewarding, probably because we all like to study the before and after pictures once we’ve finished. We thought you might like to have a look at them too!
Episode 1
A leading specialist in equipment hire on location at TV & film sets, the lovely people at OLH needed a website that grabbed the eye, yet was easily accessible for quick product information. We decided to spice things up by giving the new site a bold yet stylish colour scheme, strong identity and a very modern "one-page" layout, utilising jQuery for animation and polish. The site uses 100% valid code ensuring strict web standards compliance – giving the user a safer and faster web experience.
Episode 2
A local recruitment company wanted to totally reinvent themselves and their brand. We focused on bright colours and a colourful blue sky background to give the whole site an exuberant feel. We built a simple CMS system for the client too, enabling them to log in and add the job details in each of the recruitment areas as needed. We also made easy to use forms for the users, enabling potential employees to easily upload their CV and enter their requirements and at the same time allow potential employers to post their vacancies direct to the team.
